“Be not afraid of drought or hotness because Udon is refreshing…”(ไม่กลัวแล้งไม่กลัวร้อน เพราะชาวอุดรฯ สดชื่น…) may be said by Udon Thani citizens at this time because of “TV360° Drought Protection Activity by Tra Maekrua” on 23rd -25th March. This activity aimed to change the drought to the moist areas at Surplur Non Sawan Village, Kumphawapi District, by founding the learning center on sustainable agriculture. This learning center can benefit the local people by providing knowledge on sustainable agriculture. Specially, this beneficial activity was headed by Mr. Arsawin Khanchanawisittaphol, President Adviser and Manager of the factory of Chuew Huad Co., Ltd. and Tra Maekrua Co., Ltd.; Mr. Taninwat Pattanaveerakun of TV360°; and Dr. Veerintira Nathongbocharat, Managing Director of 360 Entertainment Co., Ltd. Additionally, many earth-care actors such as Jib Pokchat, Mariew AF 12, Fame Chawinroj, Aun Witthaya, and Priaw AF 2, as well as 50 volunteers, a news fan club, also joined this activity. They together built a frog pond, a fish pond, and vegetable plots. Importantly, the groundwater pumping system or Namthongkam Theory (ทฤษฏีน้ำทองคำ) of Ajarn Thong Lomprakon was applied in the water management of this area. The pumping system can help save the energy because it works by the energy from the solar system. Thus, in every season of this area, there is always water for planting. Consequently, the local people are able to live happily on the agricultural careers, and do not have to migrate for the new job.
Besides the beneficial activity to maintain the sustainable agriculture, there were many amusing activities in TV360° Drought Protection Activity by Tra Maekrua, such as cooking competition that many products of Tra Maekrua Brand were used as the main ingredients of every dish. These dishes were cooked by the earth-care actors and the news fan club. Another activity was a mini concert from Mariew AF 12 and Priaw AF 2, and the others was the perfect amusing performance from each team of the news fan club and the artists that was the impressive send-off gift for all participants joining this good activity
